Europe Has An Aging Population Problem, A UBI Would Solve It

Europeans are aging and dying faster than they getting born, that is already causing reduction to European population, while populations in continents like Asia are booming. The solution? A Universal Basic Income (UBI).

“Europe’s population will peak around 2035 and then begin to slowly decline. Official projections vary, with the U.N. Population Division predicting that Europe could lose up to 100 million people in the next 50 years. However, all projections agree on one point: Europe’s population will be older.”,

“The shrinking and aging of Europe’s population will have geopolitical consequences for the Continent. First, the new demographic will reduce Europe’s political, economic and military heft in international affairs.” a stratfor report mentions.

The final result will be the grown and advanced populations to overtake economically and in other terms, resulting to a world driven by authoritarianism, democracy is less popular in these countries.

A¬†Universal Basic Income (UBI) would guarantee the survival of all Europeans, therefore the main reason that make Europeans don’t have enough babies will be gone, resulting in increased birth rates.
